Media Quiz - first 10 questions

 1.) I chose A-level since I enjoyed literature and the act of analysing different texts. I assumed that media would be the same thing only with different kinds of media like movies and magazines.  2.) I did not take media as a GCSE and I did attend Greenford high school last year.  3.)  4.) B or above 5.) After A-levels id like to continue to peruse in product design. 6.) I think the biggest media story of 2025 was the superman movie since it had a lot of good reviews and a lot of watchers. 7.) I mostly use newspapers and random pop up adds to see what current affairs have been like.  8.) The last film I watched was the Phantom of the opera sequel "love never dies" it wasn't very good but I still sat through it.  9.) My favourite TV series is Attack on Titan.  10.) I spend about 6-7 hours a day on my phone. I think thats a bit too high.

My media consumption

 Newspapers: 1.) I'll usually read whatever newspaper has been left on a bus or train seat.  2.) I usually flip to the part with the word cross of the part of the newspaper that's being advertised on the front page.  3.) I never read the spots section, I've never found an interest in it.  4.) I tend to read the stories about something new that's been discovered or the part of the paper where all the shocking things are written like car crashes and stuff of that kind.  5.) No 6.) I sometimes click on random articles that have come up on my recommended page, its not usually the same company though. I just click on whatever seems interesting when I've got nothing to do.  Magazines: 1.) I like to read the advertisement section or the part where you learn to do new things since I find it interesting.  2.) Moana is a good example since it uses Todorov's narrative structure of equilibrium, disequilibrium and new equilibrium.  2.)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5i5ERDE_2E  (opening to House M.D) The opening already clears the narrative of the show to be a hospital drama due to the imagery used of CT scans and X-rays, already creating an enigma code of "what is being shown on screen?". 3.) Katniss Evergreen (Hunger games), Jinx (Arcane) and Eren Yeager (attack on titan) 4.) An example of binary opposition is the classic "good vs evil" story line, for example 'Harry Potter' where Harry (protagonist: good) and Lord Voldemort (antagonist: bad). 5.) The example provided in the sheet is when a police officer captures a criminal in a criminal drama the ideology of law and order is emphasised to the audience.  6.)
