Y12 Media exam: Paper 1 Learner response

1.) "www: Lea, your attempt at analysing the unseen media text (Q1) was clear just remember to include specific media terminologies. EBI: Revise strategies for ownership + control (Q2). Some really good arguments and judgements about magazine competing at a print industry within the digital age. EBI: Missing specific examples from both the magazine CSP's to strengthen your argument. More emphasis on the ownership impacting their successes/failures. 31/40 ---> A 2.) Use of hypodermic needle model was too simplistic and was widely discredited, instead should have used cultivation theory, mean word pr the two set flow theory. Should have also made a clearer judgement and argument instead of exploring the topic. Also need to refer to other relevant media effect theories (named above).  3.)  Gerbner's Cultivation theory: useful since it emphasise the act that audiences may be gullible and due to different medias they consume their ideologies and opinions can warp and be manipulated.  Frankfurt School's Hypodermi...
